EscapeOn the steep slopes of the magnificently wooded Heddon Valley, hidden at the end of a quarter-mile private drive, you will discover Heddon’s Gate. This is a true country house hotel, run by us, its owners, Anne and Eddie Eyles. It is secluded and tranquil, and is set in more than 2½ acres of its own gardens and woodland. |

RelaxHere our guests appreciate the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the comfortable and peaceful surroundings and the superb views of the valley. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed here, and appreciate the hotel as much as their owners do. |
IndulgeFood and drink are an important part of the Heddon’s Gate day. Start with a full English breakfast served at your table, and return later for an afternoon tea with Devon clotted cream. Round it all off with pre-dinner drinks and an excellent four-course dinner, followed by coffee and digestifs. There are good-quality teas and coffees, a full bar and a well-chosen, varied wine list. |
